Hercules Tires Joins as Title Sponsor of America East Esports Invitational 11/4/2020 8:16:50 AM BOSTON – Set to host its second Esports Invitational this weekend, America East announced on Wednesday that Hercules Tires will be the event’s presenting sponsor. Hercules Tires was also the presenting sponsor of the conference’s inaugural event in April. The partnership was arranged by Van Wagner which manages the America East Conference’s sponsorship and marketing partners program. Looking to build off of the success of its first-ever esports event earlier this year, America East’s partnered with Mainline to host a second event Nov. 7-8. Registration is open through Nov. 5. Register for 2nd America East Esports Invitational presented by Hercules Tires Students from all 10 America East member institutions will square off virtually for prizes in a SuperSmash Bros. Ultimate tournament. The two-day event will feature qualifying play on Saturday, Nov. 7 with the top eight players qualifying for the playoff bracket, a single-elimination battle on Sunday, Nov. 8. All eight matches on Sunday will be broadcast and streamed live. Players will compete for over $2,500 in scholarship money with the tournament champion receiving $1,500. The runner up will earn $500 while third place garners $300 and fourth place takes home $200.
